Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have expanded their brood — with a new pet dog!

“Meet the newest member of our family …Magic!!! We adopted her from this amazing organization @californiadoodlerescues,” Mendes, 50, captioned a video of a gray doodle shared via Instagram on Monday, November 25. In the clip, Mendes can be seen walking and carrying Magic and shooting what appears to be an ad with her new companion.

The Hitch actress added, “More to come…I’m crazy about her and excited to share life with Magic with you.”

Mendes and Gosling, 44, are parents to daughters Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8, and have been together since 2011.

In the comments section, a Gosling fan account noted that the family’s new dog resembles Gosling’s earlier dog, George.

“Totally! She’s got some Georgie vibes for sure! We’re in love,” Mendes replied.

The Barbie actor regularly gushed about George, a terrier, in interviews but revealed during an October 2017 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that his pet had died at age 17 in December 2016.

“There was something about George where … I think he felt like being a dog was beneath him. He would not do tricks. If you wanted him to sit down, you had to sort of convince him it was in his best interest,” Gosling said at the time, per Vanity Fair. “Like, ‘Look, we’re gonna be in this car for about three hours, so if you want to sit down you might be more comfortable this way.’ Then he might consider it.”

Speaking about George’s appearance in his final years, he added, “George, as he started to age, started to look like an aging rock star. He was sort of skinny-fat, he had big hair and no teeth — some open sores. But still sexy.”

Gosling even brought the pup, whom he called ”the great love of [his] life,” on stage with him for his Late Night With Jimmy Fallon interview in July 2011, telling host Jimmy Fallon, “He’s more interesting than I am, so I just thought it would be helpful.”

In September, Mendes revealed that she and Gosling’s daughters aren’t much impressed by her past acting work.

“They don’t care,” she said. “This was about a year ago. I tried to show them a scene from Hitch that I was actually proud of because I’m scared of deep, dark water. I had to do this physical comedy stunt thing in the Hudson [River]. I was so scared. I faced a fear that day and I was proud of it.”

Mendes continued, “One time, one of my girls was scared and I’m like, ‘Ooh, opportunity to show off.’ I played it for them and I was like, ‘This is Mama facing her fear.’”

“They were not impressed at all,” Mendes admitted. “They were just like, ‘OK, cool, Mama, can we go outside?’”
