Man responsible for two CDOT workers’ deaths now arrested


GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Back in September a Jeep Grand Cherokee veered off the road on Highway 6 and 50 striking a Colorado Department of Transportation truck and continuing to hit two CDOT workers killing them both.

The passenger of the Jeep of the driver was also killed.

On Wednesday 59-year-old Patrick James Sneddon was arrested and charged with:

  • Three counts of vehicular homicide-while Driving Under the influence of alcohol or one or more drugs or both such conduct was the proximate cause of a death to another person

  • Two counts of failure to yield right of way to a stationary public service utility vehicle resulting in death (felony, move over law)

  • Failure to drive in single lane (weaving)

  • Driving vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both
