Kate Cassidy has returned to TikTok with an emotional tribute to her late boyfriend Liam Payne.

Cassidy, 25, took to the social media platform on Sunday, December 8, to share a compilation video of time spent with the late One Direction star, who died at the age of 31 after falling from a Buenos Aires hotel balcony on October 16.

Captioning the post, “I love you,” the influencer began with footage of herself and Payne blowing kisses to the camera before sharing moments from various outings. The couple were also seen dancing together, arms wrapped around one another, in another touching moment.

Quiet moments were also spliced with a series of light-hearted memories including footage of Payne, who traveled with Cassidy just two weeks prior to his death, dragging his amused girlfriend’s legs around a kitchen floor and bowling with her.

Editing together one and a half minutes’ worth of footage in total, Cassidy also included clips of Payne goofing around in front of the camera, lounging with her on the couch and sleeping beside her in bed.

The video was set to a 1993 track by Mazzy Star, titled “Fade Into You.”

Cassidy’s return to TikTok comes after she was last seen appearing to contain her emotions while out walking in central London after Payne’s November 20 funeral. Dressed in a long coat and sweatpants, Cassidy was seen in photos obtained by the Daily Mail on November 29, as she visited a coffee shop and strolled with a coffee cup in her hand.

Cassidy, who was first linked to Payne in October 2022, was one of many famous faces in attendance at the funeral, including Payne’s former One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik. Cheryl Cole, Payne’s ex who is the mother to Payne’s son Bear, 7, was also there, as were James Corden and Simon Cowell.

Us Weekly confirmed on October 16 that Payne died after falling from his third-story hotel balcony. Buenos Aires emergency services chief Alberto Crescenti announced that the singer suffered “serious injuries” that were untreatable by the time first responders arrived on the scene.

Payne’s friend Rogelio “Roger” Nores was among three people charged with abandonment leading to death and the supply and facilitation of narcotics in connection to Payne’s death, last month. “I never abandoned Liam. I went to his hotel 3 times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened,” Nores told the Daily Mail in a November 7 statement. “There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen.”

TMZ reported on Tuesday, December 3, that a judge is allowing Argentina national prosecutors to continue their investigation into Nores’ role in Payne’s death. Nores’ team, however, filed documents of their own stating that his case should instead be handled by Buenos Aires local prosecutors.
