Snoop Dogg has a special bond with his daughter, Cori Broadus.
Snopp (real name Calvin Broadus) and his wife, Shante Broadus, welcomed Cori in 1999, five years after the arrival of their son, Cordé. The rapper also shares son Julian, born in 1998, with Laurie Holmond.
While Snoop is a doting dad (and grandpa!) to all of his offspring, Cori holds a special place in his heart.
“Always and forever daddy’s princess,” she gushed via Instagram in February 2024.
Snoop and Cori will further showcase their bond on an E! docuseries, Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story, that premieres in December 2024.
Cori has also battled the autoimmune condition Lupus for many years and suffered a “ severe stroke” in January 2024. Throughout everything, she’s been able to count on her dad for support.
“She’s doing a little bit better,” Snoop told People later that month.

Dad Rules
Snoop brought Cori, then 8, to a 2008 taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show where DeGeneres asked Cori whether her dad was a strict parent.
“You say I’m not strict. Tell Ellen how old you have to be before you can have a boyfriend,” Snoop quipped.
Cori then proclaimed, “77.”
Snoop later gushed that parenting was “[his] love” and “job” despite acting tough.
“I’m hard. I cuss ’em out, but my philosophy is, I pick on them, and then I pick them up,” he explained. “That’s what I do, to let them know that I expect more out of them because they’re better than that. … I’m like the best example for them to show them how someone can come out of a negative background and create a positive avenue for themselves.”
Only a Few Regrets

“I regret not being there when my baby girl was born,” Snoop told VIBE magazine in 2011. “I was there for both of my boys. I was out and about, ripping and running, doing too much. The precautions I take now are because of her.”
What’s in a Name
Cori named her cosmetics line Choc Factory by Choc as a nod to her dad.
“When I was a little girl, my dad used to call me ‘Choc’ because I was sweet and chocolate-colored,” she told Essence in August 2022. “And that is what I put in my products that are handmade and filled with love and a touch of sweetness.”

During an October 2024 appearance on Today, Snoop revealed that he always tells his kids to “be yourself at all times.”
“You gotta let kids grow into adults and once they need your information, you be there as a parent to give it to them,” he added.
Sharing the Screen
Elsewhere on his 2024 Today appearance, Snoop broke down their decision to costar on reality TV.
“We wanted to put a show together based on her and the things that she’s going through and how she’s handling it,” he said. “Such a beautiful show because you see a young woman go through things in life with the support of her father and mother, but she has to go through ‘em on her own.”
A Seven-Figure Wedding Gift
Cori got engaged to Wayne Duece in November 2022. Ahead of their wedding day, Snoop went all-out with his present.
“The only thing about this gift is she never got to open it or she hasn’t opened it yet,” the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” musician said on The Jennifer Hudson Show in December 2024. “It was a million dollars for her wedding — that’s right.”
He added, “I told her if it was me, my wedding would have been $100,000 and $900,000 would have gone in my pocket.”

Watching Snoop and Shante’s long-lasting relationship has inspired Cori’s own marriage.
“They may tell us something, but our experiences may be different from what they experienced as a couple,” she recalled to BET in December 2024. “You kind of just gotta go through it, pray about it and just be there for each other. At the end of the day, things are going to get hard. It’s not gonna always be the honeymoon stage. I feel like what people don’t realize is relationships are hard work, in general.”
