Golden Milk Ice Cream (Dairy-Free)

The health benefits of spices are nothing new, but I do love researching facts about them. For instance, recent research on turmeric has shown that one compound is associated with anti-inflammatory, anticancer and antioxidant properties. I’ve shared my golden milk recipe, which is of course based on the traditional Indian beverage that’s been around for centuries, and it’s one of my favorite fall-season drinks of all time. But now it’s spring — here in North Carolina we’re already in the 80s — and I want that same flavor as a cold treat. So I came up with this delicious version for you.

To make sure everyone in our household can enjoy it, this homemade golden milk ice cream is dairy-free. I also used my go-to Ninja CREAMi to whip this up in no time — it’s seriously one of my favorite gadgets we have in the kitchen. While the recipe takes a good amount of spices, it packs such an incredible flavor that you won’t find in the grocery store ice cream aisle. I really hope you’ll give this one a try — it’s quickly becoming a new favorite in our house.
