Decrypt, Rug Radio Prepare to ‘Transform Media Landscape’ With MYRIAD Launch

MYRIAD, the evolution of Decrypt and Rug Radio’s “interconnected media ecosystem,” is set to launch in public beta this week—integrating prediction markets and new forms of reader engagement into its offering.

“Through MYRIAD’s evolving ecosystem, we are positioned to transform the digital media landscape,” said Loxley Fernandes, Co-Founder and CEO at Decrypt and Rug Radio’s parent company DASTAN.

Launching during Art Basel Miami, MYRIAD leverages emerging technology to “build upon Decrypt’s established reputation as a leader in-next generation journalism and Rug Radio’s wide-ranging network of content creators and influencers,” said DASTAN Co-Founder and President Farokh Sarmad.

The MYRIAD platform integrates on-chain prediction markets alongside written and video content, enabling verifiable play across the entire media ecosystem. MYRIAD’s prediction markets build rich, interactive experiences atop a decentralized infrastructure that ensures secure, auditable transactions—creating a transparent ecosystem that ultimately aims to rebuild user trust in media.

The platform is pioneering a “new business model for publishers and content creators,” said DASTAN Co-Founder and COO Ilan Hazan, explaining that MYRIAD “leverages direct distribution to audience through established content channels to maximise engagement and transactional volume.”

MYRIAD also includes a Quests mechanic that rewards consumers for engaging with content, creating an attention economy that can be tailored to increase engagement metrics, whether that’s dwell time on videos and articles, social media shares or completing quizzes.

The result, said Hazan, is an “interconnected media ecosystem” that benefits readers, creators and advertisers alike. “Users are rewarded, creators are fairly compensated and advertisers achieve higher ROI,” he explained.

“With MYRIAD, we’re using the Web3 tools we write about to reshape the media ecosystem that we operate in,” said Guillermo Jimenez, Editor-in-Chief at Decrypt.

MYRIAD launches in public beta during Art Basel Miami with a browser extension, mobile app, and website that integrates the platform across the user’s entire browsing experience. With a streamlined registration process using account abstraction, it’s simple to get started earning points through Quests, and taking part in prediction markets.
