LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — If you have an old couch or dining room table sitting around collecting dust, you can consider donating it to a family of refugees in the Lansing area.
Currently, Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties (CCIEC) is critically low on furniture donations for its Refugee Services program.
The organization says that 200 refugees will be arriving in Lansing between now and March, and they are currently short on furniture to help them get settled.
They are in particular need of dining room tables and chairs, but CCIEC accepts loveseats, small sofas, and upholstered chairs.
Donations can be dropped off on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the St. Vincent Campus located at 2800 W. Willow St. in Lansing. However, pick-ups are also available in the Greater Lansing area.
For additional information, or to check in with the organization to see if you are eligible for pick-up, you can call 517-323-4734 ext. 1050.
