The North Carolina Department of Transportation has a number of traffic cameras positioned throughout the state. These cameras, updated every few minutes, are available at drivenc.gov, where you can also find important, real-time information on crashes and traffic.
The National Weather Service and other organizations have urged drivers to avoid roads as much as possible during the winter storm, which is expected to continue in WNC throughout the afternoon of Jan. 10 and into the night.
