Ruben Amorim has selected his first Manchester United starting XI, with Jonny Evans at centre-back and Marcus Rashford up front in a 3-4-3 formation.

Amorim takes charge of Man Utd for the first time against Ipswich, live on Sky Sports with kick-off at 4.30pm, after joining from Sporting earlier this month.

He has made three changes from Ruud van Nistelrooy’s final game in interim charge as Evans, Cristian Eriksen and Alejandro Garnacho come into start.

The injured Lisandro Martinez makes way along with Rasmus Hojlund and Manuel Ugarte, who are both among the substitutes.

Rashford and Casemiro both start having been criticised by Gary Neville for travelling to America during the international break. Rashford is flanked by Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes in a front three

Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot line up as wing backs with Noussair Mazraoui at right centre-back alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Evans.

Man Utd team to face Ipswich: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Evans; Amad, Casemiro, Eriksen, Dalot; Garnacho, Rashford, Fernandes.

Subs: Bayindir, Malacia, Shaw, Mainoo, Mount, Ugarte, Antony, Hojlund, Zirkzee.
